MACIE ROLLINS
I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Norfolk, VA, creating bold, sculptural work that blends form, color, and material to create playful, dimensional works. My practice is rooted in design and experimentation—merging tufting, painting, sculptural framing, and light to push traditional media into unfamiliar, playful territory.
Shape and color are central to my work—creating rhythm, tension, and interaction. Through unexpected material combinations, the visual systems I bring to life invite a multisensory exploration of textures, colors, and narratives that extend beyond the confines of the traditional frame. They’re meant to be fun, eye-catching, and expand the language of two-dimensional practices while challenging traditional ideas of what materials can do.
